Switching Adobe Captivate to Your Ithaca College Account

Summary

This article explains how to install and sign in to Adobe Captivate using your Ithaca College account. Follow these steps if you are unable to access Captivate because it is defaulting to a personal or incorrect Adobe account.


Steps

1. Install Captivate

  • Download Adobe Captivate from the Adobe Trial page
  • or
  • Use the installer provided by IT.

2. Sign Out of Existing Adobe Accounts

  1. Open Adobe Creative Cloud.
  2. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Sign Out.
  4. If you are signed into any Adobe websites, sign out there as well:

3. Sign In with Ithaca College Credentials

  1. Reopen Adobe Creative Cloud.
  2. Sign in with your Ithaca College email address.
  3. When prompted to select an account type, choose Company or School Account.
  4. If presented with two profiles, select:
    • Ithaca College
    • Do NOT choose NERCOMP – Ithaca College

4. Complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

  • Approve the login request using your usual MFA method.

5. Access Captivate

  • After successful sign-in, Adobe Captivate should now launch with your Ithaca College license.

Notes

  • Ensure all Adobe-related sessions are signed out in your browser before retrying if issues persist.
  • Contact the IT Service Desk if you cannot complete these steps or still cannot access Captivate.
