Updating your ENS Contact Information

1. In the profile area of the app you can update contact fields that are not locked as follows:

  • Email – In addition to your @ithaca.edu email that is already enrolled, you can choose to sign up with two additional email addresses to receive email ICAlert emergency notifications.
  • Mobile – Mobile 1 is locked for future use, but you can choose to sign up with two additional mobile numbers to receive text ICAlert emergency notifications. To also receive calls/voice alerts you must check the “Receive alerts on this phone?” box.
  • Landline – Faculty and Staff will automatically have their office phones listed in the IC Directory listed in Landline 1. Though this field can be edited, we do not recommend changes. Two additional landlines can be added to receive voice/call IC Alert emergency notifications.

Note: For those who prefer not to or are unable to utilize the app, this information can be updated at getrave.com.

 Settings

In the settings area of the app there is the ability to update your notification radius. When sending an alert to Guardian users, there is an ability to send with a geofilter to a specific location/area on a map. When this filtering is used, this radius will determine if you are within your chosen range of that notification.

Frequency Asked Questions

1. Why is there a map in the inbox ICAlert message?

At time the IC Alert message is sent if a Geofilter is selected by sender, the map in the message will show the area that the message was intended for. If a geofilter was not chosen, a random area on the map will be shown.

2. Why does the map in the inbox ICAlert message show my location?

If you have location services turned on for the map it will show your location as a blue dot on the map. If a geofilter was used for the message received this help to understand your location in proximity to the area the alert is intended for.
