How to Delay Announcements to a Future Date

When you create an announcement in Canvas, it will appear immediately to your students. However, Canvas allows you to delay your announcements to post to a future date/time. This allows you to plan your communications in advance, as well as to “draft” announcements.

Pro Tip: To draft an announcement, delay its posting date beyond the current semester, then return and edit it when you are ready to post.
