LastPass at Ithaca College

Body

Ithaca College has contracted with LastPass as a password management solution to enable staff and faculty to securely generate, save, use, and share work-related passwords.

Enroll in LastPass Enterprise

Staff and faculty

Enrollment must be done on a per-request basis, either individually or from one individual on behalf of a team or department. To get started, submit an IT Support Ticket using the LastPass Enterprise Account Request form.

Students, alumni, retirees

At the current time, students/alumni/retirees are unable to participate in LastPass Enterprise.

How to get started with LastPass

Once your enrollment request is finished, you will receive an invitation in your email to activate your new LastPass Enterprise account.

We highly recommend installing and using the LastPass browser extension, as it will be the most helpful way to interact with the product. As you visit work-related webpages, save the credentials you use or create to your LastPass vault.

Browser extension install

You can download the official browser extension for each major browser by visiting the LastPass downloads center. Please make sure to only use this official download location.

Once installed, the browser extension will appear as a dark square with three dots as seen below:
A square icon with three white dots across the center. The background of the icon is a dark grey color.

Click the square and enter your Ithaca College email address. Click the red log in button to continue. Note- you do not have to enter a master password- that option should disappear once a valid enrolled IC email address is entered.

A login dialog box. There are two options- to login or create an account. There is a large red log in button.

If you are not already logged in to your account on another website in your browser, you may be prompted to log in to Office 365 and complete the Duo 2-factor challenge. Once this is complete, the browser extension turns red, and the browser extension is ready to be used.
