This guide will show you how to navigate Knowledge Base permissions in TeamDynamix. Permissions are used to determine who can view, edit, and manage articles. Proper configuration ensures that content is secure and accessible to the right audience.

Access Knowledge Base Settings

  1. Log in to the client portal help.ithaca.edu with IC credentials
  2. Navigate and click on the “Admin” tab in the drop-down

  1. In Admin, select the Knowledge Base option.
  2. Select the KB you want to configure.

Open Permissions

  1. In the KB settings menu, click Permissions.
  2. Review the permission types:
  • View: Allows users to read articles.
  • Edit: Allows users to create and modify articles.
  • Manage: Grants full control, including deleting articles and changing settings.

Assign Permissions

  1. Under Permissions, select Add Group or Add User.
  2. Choose the appropriate Ithaca College group (e.g., IT Service Desk) or individual.
  3. Check the boxes for View, Edit, or Manage as needed.

 Save Changes

  1. Click Save.
  2. Confirm updates by reviewing the Permissions Summary.
