Account Lockouts
You may be temporarily locked out of your IC user account if you or someone else attempts to log into your account with the wrong password too many times in a short period. If this happens, try again after a 15-minute delay. If you are still unable to log in, please try a self-service password reset, or reach out to the IT Service Desk for assistance.
Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)
If you are unable to log in, you can reset your password with SSPR
Go to: https://aka.ms/sspr
- You will be prompted to enter your Ithaca College email address and complete a CAPTCHA. Please do so and click Next.
- Select “I forgot my password” and click Next.
- You will be prompted to use two of the verification methods set up for your account. Usually, those use codes sent to your non-IC email address and a personal phone number, but you may have other options if you set them up previously.
- Once you have completed verification, you will be prompted to create a new password. See the article linked below for password requirements and recommendations.
If you are unable to log into your account using SSPR, please contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.
