Weekly Tip #30: Embedding Documents in a Page
Did you know that the Canvas Calendar offers a convenient drag-and-drop feature? This simple yet powerful tool can significantly streamline your planning process. Here’s how to use it.
1. Access Your Calendar: First, log into Canvas and click on the "Calendar" tab on the left-hand navigation panel.
2. View Your Events: Your calendar will display all events, scheduled assignments and quizzes. (These are color-coded according to course for easy viewing!)
3. Drag and Drop: To reschedule an event or assignment, simply click on it and drag it to the new date, then release the mouse button to drop it into place.

4. Adjust Event Details: If you need to adjust the time or other details, click on the event after moving it. You can edit the start/end time or add additional notes.
5. Automatic Updates: When you move an event, Canvas automatically updates the date and time in the course syllabus and on the course page. This ensures that your students stay informed about the changes.
6. Check for Conflicts: After rescheduling, take a moment to ensure that the new date and time do not conflict with other important events in your course.
7. Notify Students: While Canvas updates the event information, consider sending a quick announcement or message to alert students about the change.
Happy scheduling, and enjoy the snowy weather! For additional information on use of the Calendar in Canvas, visit the resource below.
