How to Enable Lockdown Browser in Your Course

This article is for faculty who wish to use the Respondus Lockdown Browser in their Canvas course to administer digital exams through the Canvas New Quizzes tool.

How to enable the Respondus Lockdown Browser tool in your course

Before you can create an exam and deploy it using the lockdown browser tool, you must add it to your course navigation. 

Use the following step to add Respondus Lockdown Browser (LDB) to your course. 

  1. Click on Course Settings in the left-hand navigation
  2. Select the Navigation tab at the top of the screen
  3. Scroll down the list until you see Lockdown Browser.
  4. Click on the 3 dots to the right of the application name and select Enable.
  5. Scroll back to the bottom of the screen and click SAVE
