  1. Navigate to Wi-Fi Settings on your device through the Settings app.
  2. In the available Wi-Fi networks list, tap IthacaCollege.
  3. Select PEAP for EAP method.
  4. Select MSCHAPv2 for Phase 2 Authentication.
  5. Select Do Not Validate for CA Certificate.
  6. Enter "Ithaca.edu" in the Domain field (if there is one)
  7. Enter your NetPass in the Identify field. Leave the Anonymous Identity field blank.
  8. Enter your NetPass Password in the password field.
  9. Save.

It may take up to a minute for your phone to be authorized on our network. It may provide an error that mentions "no IP" in the meantime, but allowing the app to finish connecting should resolve the error.

Secure Wireless (eduroam)

eduroam is a secure wireless service used at hundreds of higher education institutions  in the US, and many more internationally. The service allows users from participating schools to access the secure wireless network of other participating institutions while using the credentials of their 'home' institution. For example, while visiting Cornell University, an Ithaca College student, faculty or staff member can connect to the eduroam wireless network there using their Ithaca College email address as the username, along with their Netpass password. Likewise, someone from Cornell can visit IC and use their CU credentials to access the Ithaca College eduroam wireless network here.

eduroam removes the need to supply temporary accounts to visiting members, reducing the administrative and support burden imposed by the ever-growing movement of students and researchers between institutions and countries. Using eduroam ‘home’ credentials to access Wi-Fi services on campus provide a quick, easy and secure way to get online without campus IT support, thus allowing the campus IT team to focus on managing essential services for everyone. The secure login means that passwords and other private data are encrypted.

To connect to eduroam secure wireless:

  1. Choose eduroam from the list of available wireless networks.
  2. Enter your IC email address as the username and Netpass password.

Guest/Visitor Wireless (IthacaCollege-Guest)

IthacaCollege-Guest is a non-secure wireless service intended for guests and visitors. It is available in academic and administrative campus areas.
