Policies for Common Systems
Access to most Ithaca College accounts ends upon an IC community member's official date of separation from the college (i.e. graduation, retirement, resignation, etc.), with the exception of the accounts and services listed below. The college reserves the right to disable access to any account at any time.
Email for Students
Effective May 2013, students retain lifetime access to their personal IC email account.
Email for Faculty and Staff
Access to all accounts is disabled within 24 hours of last day of employment, or for those employees in a bargaining unit, following the terms of their contract. For departing faculty and staff who are also alumni, email access will NOT be disabled. While the employee will lose access to the account within 24 hours, the account actually doesn't get deleted for about 4 months and will continue to receive email until it is deleted. Therefore, if desired, the departing employee can set an "away" message while they still have access to the account, letting senders know who to contact instead about College-related business, and/or what their new email address is.
Email for Retirees
Retirees retain lifetime access to their personal IC email account.
Faculty Web Pages
Faculty retirees retain lifetime access to Web Profile Manager to maintain their faculty profile.
Zoom
Ithaca College Zoom accounts for graduates and retirees transition from a Licensed account to a Basic account shortly after the change of status to alumni or retiree. If you wish to purchase a licensed account or sign up for a free basic Zoom account with a non-IC email address, visit zoom.us/pricing.
