IBM SPSS Statistics is a comprehensive statistical analysis software platform available to Ithaca College faculty, staff, and students. The college maintains a site-wide license providing access to advanced statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data analysis tools.

Off-Campus Access Requirements

Faculty and Staff Installation

Faculty and staff can install SPSS on IC-managed computers at no charge through the appropriate software portal for their operating system.

Windows Installation

  1. Open the Company Portal from your Start Menu.
  2. Search for SPSS in the available applications.
  3. Click Install to begin the installation process.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

macOS Installation

  1. Open the Self Service application from your Applications folder or Dock.
  2. Search for SPSS in the available software.
  3. Click Install to begin the installation process.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Student Access Options

Students can access SPSS through the following options:

  • IC Computer Labs: All public-facing computer labs have SPSS pre-installed
  • Laptop Anytime Kiosks: Available with SPSS pre-installed
  • Service Desk Loaner Laptops: Available for checkout with SPSS installed

Computer Lab Availability

SPSS is pre-installed and ready to use in all IC public-facing computer labs. No installation or license checkout is required when using lab computers on campus.
