Every campus computer lab includes a standard set of software, and many labs add specialized applications for specific courses and programs. Use this article to find what's installed where, install additional software yourself, or request something that isn't available.

Standard Software (All Labs)
Every lab computer includes a baseline set of software for its platform. Specialized labs add to this baseline; they do not replace it.
Windows Lab Computers

The labs below have software installed in addition to the standard list. Only the additional software is listed; everything in the standard list above is also present. To find a specific application, press Ctrl+F (Windows) or Command+F (macOS) to search this page.
Labs marked (department use only) are not open-access. Students must be enrolled in a course offered by that department to gain access to the lab.

Printing in Labs
Lab computers have the PaperCut Print Deploy Client pre-installed, which provides access to the full range of print settings (single-sided printing, custom paper sizes, and stapling) for jobs sent to the ToshibaBW or ToshibaColor queue and released on any Toshiba MFP on campus.
For quick printing without those options, WebPrint (webprint.ithaca.edu) is also available. A browser-based site that needs no software and works from any device, though it only supports double-sided printing with limited customization.

Installing Additional Software
Some applications are available for on-demand installation without an IT request.
Windows: Company Portal
- Click the Start menu and search for Company Portal.
- Browse or search for the application.
- Click the application, then click Install.

macOS: Self Service
- Open Self Service from the Applications folder or the Dock.
- Browse or search for the application.
- Click the application, then click Install.

Requesting Software
If you need software that isn't listed above or available through Company Portal or Self Service, submit a request to IT.
- Requests generally require 1–2 weeks for review, testing, packaging, and deployment
- Requests submitted before the start of a semester are more likely to be completed before classes begin
- Include the software name, version requirements, licensing information (if applicable), and the lab(s) where it's needed
