2026 Staff Compensation Structure

The College’s staff compensation structure consists of twelve pay bands for exempt positions and ten pay bands for non-exempt positions that represent a continuum of salaries based on market median for a wide range of positions. The chart below provides the current pay band structure including the pay band minimum, midpoint and maximum. Market salary data, consistent with the College’s compensation philosophy were used to develop the pay band ranges. Pay band assignments are initially determined based on matching the market median salary data to the midpoint in the Pay Band structure. Pay band assignments within and across departments are reviewed for internal equity.

Pay Bands

The pay bands were developed through an extensive analysis of market data for benchmark positions across the College. Benchmark positions represent jobs commonly found at other institutions or industries with generally consistent core responsibilities and job requirements and for which reliable pay data is available. Positions where the primary function and qualifications are not easily matched are compared internally to similar positions that do have a benchmark comparison.

The effective date for the 2026 Exempt and Non-Exempt Staff Compensation Structure is 01/01/2026.
