What is this Service?
This service allows for a student to request a Zoom license if they have an Academic need or another need that requires Zoom for more than 40 minutes per meeting or for more than 100 people per meeting.
Due to changes in Zoom's student licensing, student-hosted Zoom meetings are now limited to 40 minutes. Students continue to have access to Microsoft Teams, which supports longer meetings, cloud recording, meetings with up to 1,000 participants, and integrated collaboration tools. Therefore, students should use Microsoft Teams to host meetings, particularly those longer than 40 minutes.
There is no time restriction for students attending a Zoom meeting hosted by faculty or staff.
