This service is designed to collect information from department account owners , including departmental email accounts, student organization accounts, and shared login accounts. This data will be used to convert existing accounts to more secure account types within the Microsoft environment.

Email Communication Regarding Account Status and Ownership
The service includes the following offerings:
Complete Intake Questionnaire: Gather initial information from shared account owners.

Request Account Owner Update: Request changes to the ownership of an account.

Request Account Delete: Request to have an account deleted that is no longer in use.

Account types impacted as part of this project include:
Departmental Email Accounts: an email account that is associated with a specific department or group at Ithaca College. These accounts are typically used to manage departmental communications and can be accessed by multiple users within the department. Department accounts are often used for roles that require shared access to emails, such as support teams, reception desks, or any other departmental functions that involve multiple team members handling communications.
Student Organization Accounts: an email account associated with a recognized student organization at Ithaca College. These accounts are typically used to manage communications and activities related to the organization
Shared Log In Accounts: a single set of log in credentials that multiple individuals within a department can use to access specific software, systems, or shared workstations. These accounts may be used for applications, services, or common workstation access. These accounts may or may not have a mailbox associated with the account.
