Who is the Audience for this Service?

This service is intended for all active users of Ithaca College systems. (Students, Faculty, Staff, and Affiliates)

What is this Service?

This service is for consultations, for the following offerings: 

  • Request AI (Artificial Intelligence) Consultation: This service can be used to ask a question about available AI tools, request a training session, or schedule a consultation with our student team of trained AI Exploration Guides.
  • Request Service Desk Consultation: This service can be used to request help for a personal device that is not owned by Ithaca College, with the following restrictions:
    There is a 15-minute constraint on troubleshooting for personal devices. 
    • No physical repairs to personal devices will be made. Personal device repair is a large liability for the college.
      • Please contact local repair places, such as Best Buy or Asurion, if you know this is a hardware issue.
        • Best Buy is Apple-certified
    • The Service Desk will assist to the best of their ability, but service will be limited.
      • The student employees at the Service Desk have varying levels of knowledge regarding various personal devices and you may not receive the same level of service every time.
    • Any information provided should be treated as consultation and not a definitive solution.
       
  • Request Business Productivity Consultation: Request a consultation with the Business Productivity group for topics relating to:
    • Microsoft Office 365 applications, a suite of productivity and collaboration applications that includes always up-to-date versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Teams. It includes desktop, mobile, and web versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, and 1 TB of cloud storage with OneDrive.
    • Communication and collaboration services and applications, including Microsoft Teams.
    • Large-scale storage solutions, including Microsoft OneDrive, and SharePoint.
    • Scheduling and booking applications, including Microsoft Bookings.
    • Task and project management applications, including Microsoft To Do, Planner, Project, and TeamDynamix.
    • Requests for a Visio Plan 2 license or Project Plan 3 license. 
       
  • Request Drupal Consultation: Use this offering to request training or assistance with Drupal, Ithaca College's website editor.
