How To: Register your IC ID to use the Toshiba Printers

This article explains how to register (associate) your IC ID card with the campus Toshiba printers. This is a one-time setup. Once your card is registered, you can tap it at any Toshiba multifunction printer (MFP) to log in and release your print jobs.

Audience

This article is intended for students, faculty, staff, and anyone at Ithaca College who needs to log in at a Toshiba printer with an IC ID card.

Before You Begin

  • You need your IC ID card
  • You need your IC account (Ithaca College Microsoft account) username and password
  • You only need to register once - after that, your card works at every Toshiba printer on campus

Register Your IC ID Card

  1. Go to any Toshiba multifunction printer (MFP) on campus
  2. Tap your IC ID card on the card reader on the printer

  3. The printer displays an Unknown Card message. Log in with your IC account username and password

  4. Press Log In
  5. When you see the message Your card has been associated with your user account. You may now swipe your card to log in, press OK

Troubleshooting

  • The confirmation message did not appear: You may have entered your IC account username or password incorrectly. Log out and repeat the steps above
  • Your card was not detected: Hold your IC ID card flat against the card reader for a moment and try again
  • Still cannot log in: Contact the Service Desk (see below)
