Syncing an Ithaca College Windows computer with Intune ensures the device receives the latest software policies and permissions assigned to the signed-in account. This process requires completing a sign-in with DUO multi-factor authentication (MFA) so that features like Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM) can activate. EPM allows specific applications that require elevated permissions to run without needing a separate administrator account.

Troubleshooting
Sync Button is Grayed Out
If the Sync button is grayed out, a sync may already be in progress. Wait a few minutes and try again.
DUO Prompt Does Not Appear
If a DUO authentication prompt does not appear, verify that the DUO device is set up and active. Contact the Service Desk for assistance with DUO enrollment.
EPM Permissions Not Working After Sync
EPM policies may take several minutes to apply after a successful sync. Restart the application that requires elevated permissions. If permissions still do not work after 15 minutes, contact the Service Desk.
