Who is the Audience for this Service?
This service is intended for Students, Faculty, and Staff of Ithaca College systems.
What is this Service?
- Request a New Microsoft Team1
If you need a new Team for a club, academic department, campus organization, or a specific project, please use this service to submit your creation request. We've outlined exactly what you'll need to have ready to fill out the form accurately:
- Team Name: Provide the full, official name for your Team (e.g., "History Department Faculty" or "Student Government Planning Committee"). This name will appear across all Microsoft 365 services, so ensure it is clear and descriptive.
- Team Owners: You must designate the users who will manage the Team. A minimum of two owners is strongly recommended. Having multiple owners ensures administrative continuity, so that if one person is unavailable, the Team can still be managed.
- Team Type: Choose one of the following options: Private (only members can see content and join via invitation), Public (anyone in the organization can search for the Team in the Team Directory), or Classroom (For classrooms that are not within the Canvas environment).
If you have any extra details about the Team's purpose, membership requirements, or any initial questions, please utilize the additional comments section of the form.
- Get Support for an Existing Team
If you are experiencing a technical issue with a Team you currently use, or if you simply require general guidance or training on how to use any of the software's features, please submit your support request through this service.

-
Video and Audio Meetings: Virtual meetings with screen sharing, recording, and other collaborative features.
-
File Sharing and Collaboration: Real-time co-authoring of documents stored in the cloud (SharePoint/OneDrive).
