Purchasing New College-Owned Computers

Every Technology Renewal time frame the "standard" computer devices that are ordered for the campus community is reviewed and verified by Information Technology to ensure that it meets the campus communities needs. We understand that some departments may need non-standard machines, those are just purchased differently than what we offer the majority of the campus community and they are not leased. All new equipment that is purchased through the procurement office or IT is approved by Dean, Director or Vice President before its purchased. We only order the certain amount of devices that are needed for that technology renewal time frame, having a small inventory for new employees and loaner equipment.

Reminder: Other components and peripherals such as speakers, monitors, docking stations, etc, are not replaced under the renewal program.

*Note* -There are changes to what departments are to budget for in regards to Technology. Please visit Technology Renewal Process Knowledge Base Article for more information on what the Tech Renewal Program budgets for and what departments need to budget for.
