What is this Service?

Use this service to request access to additional software tools and applications provided by Ithaca College. This includes both

  • Software License/Access Requests that require elevated provisioning
  • Paid Software Licenses that require a charge back to the requesting department for the cost of the tool

To support specialized needs while managing costs, Ithaca College offers additional software tools beyond the standard offerings through two access options.

Software Application License/Access Requests: Some software applications have a limited number of licenses that are managed centrally, shared across campus and allocated based on need. These applications do not require a departmental chargeback, but access must still be requested through this service.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Formstack
  • Microsoft Bookings
  • Microsoft Power Automate
  • Microsoft Project/Planner Premium
  • Microsoft Visio Desktop App (web app is available to all)
  • Qualtrics
  • Zoom (for advanced features)

Third-Party Add-Ons and Integrations:
Some tools such as plugins or extensions for Microsoft 365, Zoom, or Adobe are considered third-party add-ons. These may enhance existing licensed platforms and often require review or provisioning support. Requests for these tools should be submitted through this service and will be routed to the appropriate group for consultation and tracking. Availability and licensing requirements may vary depending on the tool and how it integrates with existing platforms.

Paid Software License Requests: For applications that require a purchased license, the cost will be charged back to the requesting department. These requests must include supervisor approval and the department’s chargeback account details. Once approved, the license cost will be billed to your department.

Note: Paid Software License requests granted between July 1 and December 31 will be charged 100% of the annual cost. Licenses granted between January 1 and June 30 will be billed at 50% of the annual cost for the initial billing cycle, with subsequent renewals charged at the full annual rate.

The costs listed below are calculated per individual user:

  • Microsoft 365 Copilot - $360 billed annually
  • Microsoft Teams Premium - $20 billed annually
  • *Canva Enterprise - $195 billed annually if applicable
    • *Charged only if an additional license is needed beyond department allocation. See more below

*Important Note for Canva Enterprise:
Pro vs Enterprise: While all students at Ithaca College have access to Canva Pro, departmental use of Canva is only approved for Canva Enterprise. This version includes branding tools and templates that align with Ithaca College’s official marketing standards, as approved by the Office of Marketing and Communications. Other paid versions of Canva are not permitted for creating materials representing Ithaca College.

Licensing & Chargebacks: Ithaca College has a limited number of Canva Enterprise licenses that are distributed to departments with oversight from deans, VPs, and department heads to staff who regularly create branded content. If a department has no remaining licenses and approves the need for an additional license, the cost will be charged back to the department at the annual rate listed above.
