Who is the Audience for this Service?

This service is intended for all users of Ithaca College systems. (Students, Faculty, Staff, Retirees, Alumni and Affiliates)

What is this Service?

This service is for account related access, for these offerings:

  • SSPR (Self-Service Password Reset). This application allows you to set two different authentication methods (usually phone number and alternative email address), on your account, which will allow you to reset your password after confirming your identity through Multi-Factor Authentication1.
     
  • DUO (Multi-factor Authentication1). This application allows you to verify that you are the user that is logging into any linked application. Typically, you would receive a "DUO Push", use a "Bypass Code" assigned by the Service Desk or use a "DUO Token".
     
  • Alumni Opt-In (Deactivated email accounts for Alumni). This application allows you to submit a ticket to the IT Service Desk team to reactivate your account for a year. This will need to be done yearly.

Glossary

  1. Multi-Factor Authentication
    • When you sign into the account, you need more than just the username and password. You need a second verification method - what we call a second "factor" - to prove who you are.
      For IC, your username and password are the first factor, and DUO is the second factor.

DUO Support Assistance
Use this service to request assistance with DUO. You can add a new device, configure DUO Mobile, configure a DUO Token or request a temporary Bypass Code and more.
SSPR (Self Service Password Reset)
Use this service to change/set up your SSPR methods, which will then allow you to reset your password.
Alumni Opt-In (Deactivated Email)
Use this service yearly to submit a ticket as an alum of Ithaca College to maintain your @ithaca.edu email access.
